I have chosen to work with people like you for a very important reason: because I can promise you that growth and change will happen, and it will be remarkable.
I work with people who have had particularly tough beginnings. And yet your health and resilience looks out of place given how surrounded you were by dysfunction. Somehow, you showed up here today, with me, and I couldn’t be more honored to do this work with you. I am eager to show you that you have always followed the light inside of you (however dim it was at times). Despite how lonely it can feel, this work will teach you that you are less alone in the world than you realize.
I believe that if your mind can change through suffering, it can also change through healing.
I welcome all your wounds that are visible or yet to be known, along with your willful, open (or broken) heart.

There has been no greater tour de force than my personal work as a patient. I am forever grateful for the gaul of my former self to take that on, and beholden to my therapist’s unwavering devotion. A good psychotherapy is not for the faint of heart!
